Miley Cyrus will not be judged!

Hilary Duff, who knows better than most what it’s like to be in the public eye at a young age, is not passing judgment on Miley Cyrus.
“Everyone goes through things and takes their own path,” Duff said Monday a press event for her new movie War Inc. “Who am I to judge decisions that she made?”
According to a new People.com poll, 77 percent of around 70,000 respondents labeled the Annie Leibovitz photos “inappropriate for a 15-year-old” compared with 23 percent who found them “appropriate.” While 51 percent thought the photos might harm Cyrus’s professional standing, 49 percent thought the provocative pictures might, in fact, boost it.
Miley Cyrus’ parents should have protected her

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who recently herself got into some controversy for posing “topless” for AARP magazine, weighs in on Miley Cyrus’s semi-topless scandal with Vanity Fair. Here’s an excerpt from her opinion piece:
When these young people get all dressed up for award show red-carpet events don’t we all comment how beautiful, stunning and grown-up they look in their strapless/backless dresses and heels and tousled hair? None of this is new. None of this should be news. But it is news because it is a business. It is all Business. It is called Show Business. Show Abyss-ness! I call it Show-OFF Business. You throw a child onto the jaws of a business and they will get eaten.
I know how Miley feels. I too was a little embarrassed by my recent topless “scandal” and the subsequent parodies, but I am an adult woman. I protected myself during the shoot and I can take the heat. I only wish that her guardians had protected her.

Miley Cyrus’ portrait was ‘Misinterpreted’

Photographer Annie Leibovitz is weighing in on her controversial Vanity Fair photograph of Miley Cyrus, in which the teenager appears to be topless, saying she finds the image “simple” and “beautiful.”
“I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted,” says Leibovitz in a statement issued Monday. “Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.” more
Miley Cyrus apologizes for provocative photos

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” says the 15-year-old Disney sensation, who posed with a blanket wrapped around her chest. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
A Disney Channel spokesperson adds: “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
The Miley photos, which were taken by photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair, hits newsstands next week. People reports that Miley’s parents left before the final picture at the photo shoot but her grandmother and teacher were there. Miley also added, “My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie.
Brenda Song defends Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus already has the support of the Jonas Brothers after several personal photos of the star leaked online, but she’s also getting encouragement from someone else who knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight. “Miley is probably the most charismatic and strong 15-year-old I know,” Brenda Song, 20, of Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, told PEOPLE at the 2008 JCPenney Asian Excellence Awards in Los Angeles. “She brushes everything off with a smile. She is truly a diva – in a very good way!”
Jonas Bros support Miley Cyrus

If Miley Cyrus is shaken over the recent candid photos that leaked online of her cuddling with a boy, the singer can count on her friends for support.
“We got her back and we love her to death,” Joe Jonas (of the Jonas Brothers) said during a recent appearance on Yo on E! Source
